"Here at OIKO, our heart is set on a greener planet. That's why we're passionate about bringing you products that are 100% biodegradable. It’s a core part of who we are, and we know it’s important to you too.

Now, we also believe in being upfront and honest. While the vast majority of our products and their components are made from natural, earth-friendly materials, there are a few instances where we’ve had to make a tough but necessary choice. For a very small number of our items, you might find a tiny part or accessory – perhaps a durable closure or a small component – that isn't fully biodegradable.

Why, you ask? Simply put, for these specific items, that tiny component is crucial for the product to work properly and last as long as you need it to. 

Please know that these instances are the exception, not the rule. The non-biodegradable portion is always minimal compared to the overall product, which remains overwhelmingly made from sustainable materials. We're constantly researching and pushing ourselves, and our goal remains to eventually phase out these minor exceptions entirely.
